Strictly Rhyhtm released 1000 promo copy from the non-vocal versions for the Ibiza summer of 2002. It went very well, several big names championed it like Paul van Dyk, Dave Pierce, Pete Gooding and Chris Coco. It was on the 10th place on the DJMag hype chart, which is very cool.

Unfortunately they wanted a vocal version too, and during the search for a good singer they had problems with their mother company, and Warner Music killed Strictly Rhyhtm. What a bad luck...

The track's title was originally "String theme", then it became "Theme", but because Jurgen Vries released a top track with the same title, we changed it to "Debut". Our band name was changed by Strictly Rhyhtm from The Consonance to Techtonic, because they wanted a better name. Yep, they had right, Techtonic is better.

The development of this track was started on a Celeron 366Mhz but ended on a 666Mhz. This is our first dance track with decent sound and all istruments are self made. The special sound of the main theme was made with a crap Sound Blaster compatible sound card connected to Csaba's Yamaha XP10 synth, but the key was the cabling between them: we used thin-Ethernet BNC coaxial cables (really old school computer stuff) sealed with cheap audio jacks. This configuration produced those warm sound with much presence and musical noise, an unwanted but very good result.
